Position Overview:  

​​We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Engineer to join our growing IT department. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines that support our global business operations. We are early in our data warehouse and pipeline journey, so this is an opportunity to grow the core data capabilities of a growing company.​ 
 

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Contribute to the architecture, design and implementation of next generation BI solutions 
  • Collaborate and interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources to deliver high quality datasets 
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using a variety of technologies, including but not limited to:  
  • Data Ingestion: Extracting data from various sources such as databases (relational and NoSQL), APIs, cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage), and other data sources. 
  • Data Transformation: Cleaning, transforming, and enriching data using tools like Apache Spark, SQL, Python, and other relevant technologies. 
  • Data Loading: Loading data into data warehouses or other target systems 
  • Develop and implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity. 
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and implement solutions to improve performance and reliability. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering technologies and best practices. 
  • Provide recommendations on best practices for data governance in collaboration with master data management and development teams 
  • Empower business end-users in reporting tools and techniques 

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role within an IT department. 
  • Extensive SQL query experience.  Snowflake SQL is a plus 
  • Experience with Python or other scripting for data transformation 
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or other equivalent analytics tools 
  • Experience in many of the following specific tools in use: 
  • Snowflake, including Snowsight UI, Snowflake CLI (Snow SQL) 
  • Boomi 
  • DBT Core or DBT Cloud (DBT Cloud is an implementation of DBT Core, so either is fine) 
  • CData Sync 
  • Precog 
  • Rivery 
  • Experience with data integration between business systems, specifically ERP and web data sources.  NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred. 
  • Experience with various cloud platforms preferred, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud 
  • Experience in developing AWS Lambda or Azure Functions preferred
