Position Overview:
Bose Professional is looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer in Test with a solid foundation in Python and experience working with distributed systems test frameworks. This role will play a critical part in designing, developing, and supporting the test framework and infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and support the automated test framework. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.  
  • Improve systems for performance, reliability, and scalability. 
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. 
  • Conduct code reviews, create excellent documentation, and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality. 
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to the system. 

Qualifications:
  • Excellent Python and object-orientated design knowledge with at least 6 years professional experience. 
  • Hands-on experience in creating, enhancing, and maintaining a multi-platform automated test framework. 
  • Hands-on experience in creating automated system tests for software applications controlling networked hardware devices across multiple platforms. 
  • Experience using automated desktop/web GUI testing tools (Test Complete, Selenium or similar) 
  • Working knowledge of both Windows OS and macOS, with the ability to perform command line operations on both. 
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and VMWare (or similar) virtual machines 
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills (in English) 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Audio Video or Professional-Audio domain knowledge (ideally including measurement) 
  • Experience creating automated tests for mobile applications (Appium or similar) 
  • Good knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and TestRail or a similar system. 
  • Basic understanding of electronics and audio/video connections. 
  • Working knowledge of serial/USB communication, telephony, and VoIP.
