Company Overview:
Bose Professional is a leader in the professional audio industry, specializing in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge audio solutions including loudspeakers, amplifiers, signal processing devices, controls, software, and accessories. As we continue to strengthen our team, we are seeking a
Software Development Intern, UX & UI Design to join us.

We have organized ourselves culturally around a set of shared values. We are a team first, which means we are collaborative and support each other toward our common goals. We start everything from the outside in, starting with the customer and solving from there. We value trust, so we are a company of people who are open and direct, avoid politics, and who do what it takes to deliver on our commitments. And as we work together, we are empathetic, courteous, and fair, because we respect each other. Finally, we believe that creativity and innovation belong in all parts of the company in order to drive excellence in everything we do.

Position Overview:
Great interface design is about bringing clarity to complex systems. As a UI/UX Design Intern, you’ll work with our design and engineering team to take real product requirements and shape them into practical, well-structured UI for Bose Professional tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Untangle messy problems: Turn complex product flows into clean, zero-friction screens that just make sense.
  • Make pixels work: Build responsive UI components, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups that look sharp and feel effortless.
  • Bring screens to life: Create clickable prototypes to show off micro-interactions and transitions (because static screens are boring).
  • Communicate & present: Share your design rationale clearly, walk the team through your work, and take feedback in stride to iterate fast.
  • Team up: Hang out with the team to make sure what gets built matches what was designed down to the last detail.
  • Support Company objectives by completing additional tasks as needed

Requirements:
  • A portfolio or sample deck: Show us how your brain works. Class projects, side hustles, or unsolicited redesigns of your favorite app are all fair game.
  • Figma fluency: You know your way around auto-layout, components, and basic design systems.
  • AI-savvy workflow: You know the modern AI game and use AI tools (like Figma AI, ChatGPT/Claude for UX copy and ideation) to explore ideas and speed-run repetitive work.
  • Solid communication: You can clearly explain the "why" behind your design choices, ask the right questions, and write tidy, thoughtful design handoff notes.
  • Good taste & fundamentals: An eye for typography, spacing, color, and visual hierarchy.
  • An open mind: You love getting feedback, asking "why?", and iterating quickly without being precious about version 1.

What’s in it for you?:
  • Features that actually see daylight: You’ll design for production, which means your portfolio gets real, shipped stories instead of hypothetical redesigns.
  • Design critiques that actually help: Focus time with designers who will nerd out with you on edge cases, component architecture, and the craft—without the fluff.
  • Room to have an opinion: Good design arguments beat titles here; if you spot a better way to solve a workflow puzzle, we want to see the prototype.

Bose Professional is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
