Position Overview: Bose Professional, a leading provider of professional audio solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accounting Manager, Japan to join our APAC team based in Tokyo, Japan. As the Accounting Manager, this person will be responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting functions across Asia Pacific, including countries such as China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia. The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for timely and efficient use of accounting systems, to harmonize and improve current accounting practices in line with corporate practices, support local finance and build strong business working relationships. This role requires a self-starter and experience supporting APAC countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall supervision of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Cash Management
Assure the accuracy of financial statements and balance sheet account reconciliation activities.
Prepare, analyze and control annual reports (balance sheet, P&L and cash flow) with supporting documentation and quality including analysis of P&L deviations - forecast vs. actual
Cost tracking, monitoring and controls
Responsible for accurate, complete and timely monthly and quarterly accounting close for APAC
Support and advise on tax compliance, internal and external audits as well as implementation of recommended improvements
Coordinate and control external and internal audits for the relevant legal entities.
Assure that all periodic filings and statistical declarations are done in a timely and correct manner
Develop and maintain internal control, policies, and procedures for the area of responsibilities and contribute to improve internal processes
Create and track financial metrics as part of dashboard for management
Qualifications:
10 Years of Experience
Fluency in English
Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA or equivalent
CMA, CPA or equivalent
Experience with SAP, Hyperion, NetSuite, ADP and/or other financial reporting tools
Project management skills including a strong process-oriented approach, good understanding of system implications
Demonstrates a high level of analytical skills and capability to solve complex problems rather independently
Self-starter with high work ethic
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence personnel across functions and at all levels
