Position Overview:
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for implementing best-in-class subcontract management practices:
  • Develop strong supplier portfolio to support and influence innovation, lead NPI sourcing to make NPD happen, stabilize SOP sourcing to sustain and optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Leverage in-place relationships and optimize supply base performance for CM, ODM, JDM programs. 
  • Act as main contributor to improve cost, delivery, quality and lead time for external manufacturing new program launches.
  • Become an integral member of the Global Supply Management team: he/she supports and collaborates with senior leadership, Program Management Office, Engineering, and other stakeholders, at all levels as well as with internal and external suppliers.
  • Carry out strategic works with subcontractors such as contract, cost reduction, supplier relationships, supply chain risk mitigation, etc.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Management
    • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with the subcontractors. 
    • Manage contracts and agreements with subcontractors
    • Drive continuous improvement with subcontractors to improve operation efficiency and transparency
    • Manage administrative tasks including the coordination and support of milestone payment, performance-based payment, invoice review, and ongoing communication with the subcontractors and program teams
    • Measure the effectiveness and performance of subcontractors across the product’s lifecycle
  • New Product Sourcing
    • Working in collaboration with the Product Development Team, coordinate early supplier involvement in highly technical and/or complex new products, parts and designs to optimize quality and meet production schedule
    • Oversee and lead in high value subcontract negotiation
  • Supplier Development
    • Perform supplier risk assessment, identify potential risks and impacts, and develop mitigation plans
  • Cost Improvement:
    • Coordinate, align, and negotiate continuing engineering programs with external suppliers by working closely with the internal teams
    • Develop and execute cost reduction negotiations plan to meet organizational targets and improve company bottom line.
  • Support Company objectives by completing additional tasks as needed



Qualifications:
  • Experience in contracts / subcontracts within the CM, ODM, and JDM procurement environment
  • Experience with managing suppliers for the development of audio products

Work Location:
  • Shenzhen
  • May need to travel frequently regarding to supplier base.
