Position Overview:

Bose Professional is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our growing team in Mangaluru. In this mid-level role, you will be a key contributor to ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by defining and meticulously executing manual test cases in collaboration with development and product teams. This position offers a great opportunity to expand your skills by learning how to automate test cases under the guidance of senior team members. Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and specifications.
  • Contribute to test planning discussions and understand testing requirements for assigned features or product areas.
  • Define, document, and maintain concise, and effective manual test cases that could, where appropriate, be automated
  • Execute manual test cases thoroughly across various platforms according to established test plans and accurately report results to the wider team
  • Setup and maintain an organized test environment for efficient testing.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness and aptitude to learn test automation tools and techniques and gradually contribute to automation efforts under guidance.
  • Advocate for quality best practices within the team.
  • Support Company objectives by completing additional tasks as needed 

Qualifications:
  • Proven work experience in Software Quality Assurance (typically 3-5 years).
  • Strong proficiency in defining and executing effective manual test cases
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
  • Experience with various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.
  • Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and test case management tools (e.g., TestRail).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Good to Have:
  • Prior exposure to or basic hands-on experience with test automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
  • Basic understanding of programming or scripting concepts (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Experience testing APIs (e.g., using Postman).
  • Experience testing hardware, firmware, or embedded systems (if relevant to the company's products).
