Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant, China will support the team in financial activities as well as timely and accurate financial reporting and close processes. This role offers a tremendous opportunity to gain experience within a growing company (and small Finance team) and have significant exposure to leadership.

Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant, China will support the team in financial activities as well as timely and accurate financial reporting and close processes. This role offers a tremendous opportunity to gain experience within a growing company (and small Finance team) and have significant exposure to leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, partnering with operations to ensure accuracy of results and balances
- Create journal entries and provide supporting documents. Preparation for senior team members to review details and post journals.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts within acceptable tolerances and resolve unreconciled variances in a timely manner
- Manage operating expenses and assist team with providing timely feedback to team members during month-end close cycles
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, HR and Operations to drive important initiatives and improvements
- Assist the offshore accounting team with the company’s T&E and AP management
- Support special projects and process improvement programs
Initial Responsibilities (Day 1 – 3 months):
- Perform testing and assist in the implementation of the new NetSuite ERP system
- Special projects as the company evolves from operating under TSA to stand alone position
- Assist with the development and training of the offshore accounting team’s role within the overall finance department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of General Ledger Accounting experience required, with a mix of public accounting and private company experience preferred
- Experience in a startup or carve out environment preferred
- Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards and ability to assess, analyze and document accounting positions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manipulate spreadsheets, create pivot tables and summarize data from multiple sources
- Direct experience performing detailed and data intensive reconciliations
- Familiar with using NetSuite preferred
